Editing operations
Various operations can be performed on selected notes (pitch blocks) or groups of notes, simply by pressing a shortcut key.
Pitch Correct Selected Notes to 100%
This function corrects the pitch of selected notes to the nearest pitch interval on the current scale. It is as if the Correct Pitch tool had been used with a strength of 100%. Use the contextual menu option (right click), or press W on the computer keyboard.
There is also an option to Select All Notes and Pitch Correct to 100%. This does what it says, selects all the notes in the current processing region, and corrects their pitch to the nearest interval on the current scale. (Shortcut: opt/alt-W)
Join Notes
To join notes so that they act as one pitch block, select them with the selector tool and use the contextual menu option (right click), or press J on the computer keyboard.
Smooth Selected Notes
This attempts to make pitch transitions between blocks less abrupt. It is selected using the contextual menu or by pressing M on the computer keyboard. There is also an option to Select All Notes and Smooth Joins. This does what it says, selects all the notes in the current processing region, and corrects their pitch to the nearest interval on the current scale. (Shortcut: shift-opt/alt-W)
Reset Selected Notes
This resets pitch and time of selected notes back to their original values. It is selected using the contextual menu or by pressing shift-R on the computer keyboard.
