Operational Questions

  • Why are there grey blocks of unvoiced audio in the center of the Main Screen that do not scroll?

These are unvoiced audio blocks that are not connected to any preceding or following note blocks - so they are not put on any specific pitch.
Sometimes, this is incorrect and the blocks should be in front of a follow note to show they are part of the same word, such as the /s/ /t/ sound in the word "stop"

  • Why is the waveform displayed on one Pitch Note and the Pitch Blocks are following the pitch?

If your screen looks something like this:

then you have too long a length of time in the Main Window.   This makes the Pitch traces too narrow to be of much use, and we don't try to put the waveforms into the pitch trace because it would just be a mess.

Look at the size of your Overview Window - and that gives you a clue to the amount of time you are displaying.
To fix this, you can use any of the horizontal Zoom controls and zoom in, or as you make the Overview "thumb" narrower (ie. showing less time in the Main Window) the waveforms will be broken up and matched with the corresponding pitch blocks again.

The Screen is NOT MOVING during RePitch playback and I cannot turn Screen Lock OFF

Time Modification Features NOT YET implemented in RePitch 1

WarningSeveral time based features that will be coming soon are NOT INCLUDED in the first version of RePitch

The following Time Modification actions are NOT available yet:

  • Dragging the time positions of Note Blocks and Unvoiced Blocks.
  • Sliding boundaries of adjacent Note Blocks

In addition, we advise NOT TO GRAB MULTIPLE NOTE BLOCKS AND MODIFY THE TIMING OF THE START OR END.
This results in all the Note Blocks being modified simultaneously.
